Former DNC loudmouth Howard Dean seems to think the ObamaCare individual mandate is "not really necessary".
According to a FoxNews.com report, VP Joe Biden thinks it's constitutional and won't be struck down.
The same source quoted Dean as saying "......it might actually help the president, because the people don't like the mandate", referring to a possible Supreme Court decision to invalidate the mandate.
One says it's going to stand, the other says it might help Obama in the election if it falls.
Cute, guys. Just what was in that Koolaid, anyway? I'm not sure who drank the most of it, Dean or Biden. But you know with Biden's history of using the words of other people, one might think they'd at least be on the same page , huh ?
I can hear the groans now. " Oh no, you DIDN'T !"
In the words of Stan Laurel: "I certainly did."

Hey Mitt. You're too stiff !
While I won't personally vote for you, ( nor will I vote for Bobo the clown to get a second term), it's time you worked a little on your image. The people want a "manly" President, Mitt....or at least the appearance of one and let's face it, you don't come across as the most macho guy on the planet...sorry.
So, I was sitting here surfing the net and all I see are photos of you looking like you just stepped out of a board room or country club luncheon. Let's loosen up your image a bit, ok ? You arent going to win in the deep south, ( Florida doesn't count, by the way) or the rugged midwest without a few wardrobe/image tweaks.
Let's start with the hair. Mess it up a little. Don't get it cut every 5 days. Give it 2 weeks before you have that $200 haircut.
Now, let's lose the expensive dress shirts once in a while too. Go buy a few thick cotten single colored Levi shirts, some Columbi...

White House denies Keystone Pipeline Permit
Of course, Obama is blaming it on the Republicans, for...as he put it : For imposing a .."rushed and arbitrary deadline" He said they didn't give officials enough time.
Really, Mr President? You had enough time to deny the permit which would give jobs to Americans. During that decision process, did you once think of anyone other than yourself and your reelection ? Now you have Canada looking to Asian countries with which to do business. Yeah.....let's send more jobs to China, Mr. Obama. That's what American workers need. They need to be assured that ALL of our jobs will go to China. I mean, this only another 20,000-100,000 jobs, right? What else can you do to harm American workers? Do you lie awake at night thinking about how you can damage this country even further?
Way to go, Mr....

Senor Mitt.
Well, well, well.
Mitt Romney has Mexican roots. Well, not just roots, but an entire and HUGE family in Mexico.
It's being reported through various news outlets that the GOP's dear old Mitt might have a new moniker: "Senor Mitt".
Now, isn't that special? Wasn't he just telling us recently that our southern border needs to be sealed up ? Are we expected to believe that now, with this newly released information ? I think not, Senor Mitt.
I have nothing against people of Mexican descent. My best friend is Mexican (and a U.S. Citizen, I might add). It's just that I don't like surprises. It really shouldn't matter to me, because I have no intention of voting for Romney anyway. The same goes for Obama. (I would slit my own throat before I'd vote for him)

It's obvious that the tired old GOP "powers that be" want Romney to win the Iowa caucuses. Too bad so sad. Nice enough guy, but he did the RomneyCare thing....and I'm not sure where he stands when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. So he's out, in my book. Iowa win or not. He comes across as a fake.
Even Ron Paul's latest Iowa polls are looking pretty good from his point of view. He's always good for a little pot stirring now and then.
Michele Bachmann, who is the crowned princess of the Iowa straw poll earlier in 2011 should have a decent showing, no matter what the polls say.
Which leads me to my original question...."Does Iowa really count ?"
Let's take a look at Iowa for a moment using figures from the latest census.
Population in 2010 - a little over 3 million...meh.. so what?...

Why NOT require all voters to show a valid photo ID before being allowed to vote? Wouldn't this simple Voter ID requirement help minimize vote fraud? What is the problem with it? Some Democrats think so little of their own voters, they claim that requiring a photo ID is asking too much of them.
Really ?
They also use the lame argument of saying that it "suppresses" certain voting groups. Yeah, right. And my grandmother is a trapeze artist too. Get real.
In order to register to vote where I live, you must show a valid birth certificate and/or other proof of U.S. citizenship. Well, since our driver's license requires a birth certificate when they are first issued to us as teenagers, I suppose that had sufficed when I first registered to vote in my state. At the time I was 18 years old and we had only recently won the right to vote. as I recall. Not many 18 yr olds had ...

Gotta' love "The Donald". Only in America, baby !
New York real estate mogul Donald Trump has changed his political party from Republican to "unaffiliated" according to Foxnews. Nice move, Mr Trump. Shake the old guard Republicans up a bit.
Evidently, the Donald, as he's affectionately called, isn't very happy with the fact that the GOP is pushing Romney down our throats and he wants them to sit up and take notice. That's my guess, anyway.
Of course, one can never tell about him. He may run or he may not. I think he's getting some free publicity and maybe sending a message while doing so. No one has ever accused Donald of not being bright and a great self promoter. That's one of the reasons I like the guy. 'Even bought one of his books ( The Art of the Deal) several years ago and enjoyed it.
Just for grins, let's assume he's changed his party affiliation because he feels like Romney is not the right guy and he will run as...

Much to our dismay, House speaker Boehner cut a deal with Harry Reid and friends on the two month payroll tax extension. Can you say "blinked"?
Harry Reid liked it, Obama liked it....so we all know what that means. It's probably no good for the country, plays right into Obama's hands, effectively put Boehner on the "outs" with the Tea Party voters, and possibly cost him his speakership position.....maybe even his next election.
I've said all along that there is no way to safely negotiate with a den of snakes and this deal further proves my point. Now....we'll see if the true conservatives in the House can demonstrate having any backbone by voting against this deal.
It seems that the Speaker may have played right into the hands of Obama's campaign team this time. They allowed the media to saturate the airwaves saying " your taxes are going up on Jan 1, 2012 if this two month extension doesn't pass the House"....to which I respond with the always dignifie...

Occutards or Illegal immigrants?
Who would you rather hire?
An illegal immigrant who is thankful for a job and who will work hard to succeed or one of the recently pepper sprayed Occutard kids whom have the opportunity to attend college... yet choose to protest instead of studying or working ?
That's easy. I'll take the hard working immigrant any day. He'll give an honest day's work for an honest day's pay, he wont expect to be coddled and has no false sense of entitlement.
By contrast, while watching the Occutards who were standing around their pepper sprayed future cell mates, I noticed that all of them suddenly seemed to "know everything there is to know" about economics. Incredible.
It was even reported that some walked out of a lecture at Harvard because they evidently didn't like the facts of basic economics being taught to them. Facts are stubborn things....and they had bette...
